The purpose of the article is to identify the causes, consequences, and forms of expression of the socio-psychological negative, destructive influence of the Internet in the educational process of students. The study of the problem plays an essential role in forming a direct (immediate) and indirect understanding of the causes of negative socio-psychological effects, understanding and predicting them, as well as further developing certain tools to reduce the effects of the above-mentioned destructive behavior.
The article clarifies the most important consequences of destructive behavior, which have a negative impact on students’ personal growth, socialization, their behavior, and the quality of learning.
