Indicators of the formation of adolescents’ aesthetic feelings in “music” lessons

The complex structural nature of aesthetic feelings indicates that a single or even two measurement methods are not sufficient to assess them, although many authors have relied only on individual indicators or used a single type of questionnaire. Especially in the context of the integration of art in this case, music it is necessary to consider methods of measuring these feelings both in psychological and aesthetic contexts, as well as within the framework of musical art, including their emergence and manifestation in various types of activities. In our study, several measurement indicators in the field of aesthetic experience were examined, the reliability and effectiveness of which have been experimentally tested and confirmed by prominent representatives of modern psychology. Based on existing methods for measuring aesthetic feelings in the process of teaching the subject “Music” in general education schools, we developed a comprehensive system of measurement indicators aligned with the objectives of our research, which is presented in this subsection.
Given the multifactorial nature of the model of aesthetic feeling formation, it becomes clear that we measure several components. Not only emotional attitude and response to music are important, but also the level of aesthetic perception, evaluative abilities, and meaning-making.
