Abstract

This educational-methodological article presents a systematic analysis of the First (Professionalism) and Second (Safe and Effective Clinical Practice) domains defined by the Association for Dental Education in Europe as the key foundation of modern dental education.

The aim of the article is to reveal the interrelationship of the competencies included in the mentioned domains and their applicability in the process of designing and improving educational programs. The methodology is based on content and thematic analysis, classifying learning outcomes according to ethical, legal, clinical and managerial directions. The analysis shows that the integration of professionalism, evidence-based thinking, teamwork and risk management forms a model of patient-oriented, safe and responsible clinical practice. The combined use of current domains in the educational environment contributes to the preparation of highly qualified, socially responsible and continuously developing dentists in accordance with European educational standards.
