THE MAIN FACTORS AFFECTING POLITICAL STABILITY IN THE CURRENT CONDITIONS

Abstract

Political stability plays a crucial role in ensuring the identity, development, civil solidarity, and harmony of society, as well as the overall normal functioning of the state. In societies with political stability, the likelihood of political upheavals and civil unrest is significantly reduced. The political leadership demonstrates the ability to resolve political contradictions at early stages of their emergence, prevent socio-political clashes, rebellions, ensure economic stability, the inviolability of state borders, and neutralize external threats. In such conditions, the opportunity arises to develop long-term plans and investments in various sectors of public life. To ensure political stability, the leadership must develop correct strategies and have the political will to implement them.

The concept of political stability is highly relevant in political science and has always attracted the attention of researchers. This concept is also studied in various fields, such as economics, sociology, and international relations.

Currently, there is no unified viewpoint regarding the paths to achieving political stability. There are numerous interpretations, definitions of political stability, and different researchers present their own types of factors affecting political stability, developing methods related to political stability.

This article analyzes the most widespread factors affecting political stability, explains the concept, and presents its definitions. The aim of the article is to analyze the main factors influencing political stability, evaluate their impact, as well as present the concept of political stability and its definitions, providing interpretations from various scholars. To achieve the research objective, a comparative analysis methodology has been used, incorporating various studies, relying on leading theoretical works and real-life examples on the topic. The results of the research indicate that political stability is determined by a number of internal and external factors that can have different effects on the state at various levels. The study also highlights the importance of political leadership in ensuring stability, and through the comprehensive and systematic analysis of these factors, more effective approaches to maintaining stability can be developed.
