Abstract

This article aims to analyze the consequences of vocal cord dysfunction caused by recurrent nerve damage, with a focus on its pathological impact on the acoustic characteristics of the voice and respiration. It outlines the typical symptoms observed in individuals with vocal cord dysfunction, emphasizing the negative effects on verbal communication and the associated challenges.

The principles of speech therapy (logopedic) intervention for managing voice disorders are discussed, including the sequential stages of corrective therapy. The article also highlights commonly used therapeutic exercises, such as neck muscle massage, which aim to improve respiratory function, restore vocal cord activity, and rehabilitate the voice.
